Set up your document with these rules:
- Margins: 1-inch margins on all sides (top, bottom, left, right).

Section 1: The APA Title Page (Student Version)
All text should be centered and double-spaced.

- Author: Your name.
- Affiliation: Your university (e.g., University of California, Los Angeles).
- Course: The course number and name (e.g., PSY 101: Introduction to Psychology).
- Instructor: Your instructor’s name.
- Date: The assignment’s due date.
Section 2: The Abstract
The abstract is a brief, 150-250 word summary of your paper. Write it last.

- The word “Abstract” is centered and bolded at the top.
- The summary paragraph is not indented.
- (Optional) You may include 3-5 keywords below the abstract.
Section 3: The Main Body
- Start on a new page (page 3).

- The first paragraph is indented 0.5 inches.

- For 2 Authors: Always cite both names (e.g., Smith & Jones, 2020).

APA Tone: Bias-Free Language
APA 7 emphasizes using bias-free language. Your writing should be respectful and precise when describing people.
- Be specific about race, gender, age, etc., *only* if it is relevant to your research.
- Use “they” as a singular pronoun.
- Use person-first language (e.g., “a person with depression” instead of “a depressed person”).
