Guiding Your
Academic Journey
Since 2015
Smart Academic Writing is a US-registered academic support consultancy. We connect students with subject-matter writers and coaches across dozens of disciplines, offering model papers, editing, and one-on-one academic guidance built around honest use — as a study aid, not a substitute for your own coursework submission.
“Our vision is simple: help every student understand their subject well enough to argue it, defend it, and write about it themselves — with well-made examples to learn from along the way.”
— Smart Academic Writing Leadership Team
Who We Are and How We Work
Smart Academic Writing operates as an affiliate of Kendaall Enterprise Inc., a company registered in Delaware, United States. We were founded in 2015 with a narrow, specific purpose: to help nursing students understand complex clinical documentation — care plans, SOAP notes, case study write-ups — well enough to produce their own competent, defensible coursework. That purpose has stayed the same even as the range of subjects we support has grown considerably.
We are, at heart, an academic support and coaching business. Students come to us for three broad reasons. Some want a professionally structured model paper — a fully researched, properly cited example answer to a prompt, written specifically so they can study its structure, argumentation, and use of evidence before producing their own submission. Some want editing and feedback on a draft they have already written, in the same way a writing centre tutor or a paid proofreader would mark up a manuscript. And some want one-on-one coaching — a subject-matter expert to walk them through a difficult methodology chapter, a statistics package, or a citation style they haven’t used before.
We are explicit about what a model paper is for. It is a study aid, comparable in spirit to a worked example in a textbook or a sample answer released by an examining board. It is not designed, marketed, or intended to be submitted as a student’s own original work, and our terms of service ask clients to use our output in a manner consistent with their institution’s academic integrity policy. We’d rather lose an order than pretend otherwise.
A Note on Honesty in Our Marketing
Academic support is a crowded and, frankly, not always well-regulated market. Plenty of sites in this space lean on inflated statistics, invented staff biographies, and vague claims about “guarantees” that don’t hold up to scrutiny. We’ve deliberately written this page to avoid that pattern. Where we can back up a claim — our founding year, our service catalogue, the structure of our writer screening process — we state it plainly. Where a claim would require data we don’t have (precise satisfaction percentages, formal security certifications we haven’t obtained, named individual biographies we can’t independently verify for a public webpage) we’ve either removed it or reframed it as a description of process rather than a fabricated statistic. If you notice a claim on this site that seems off, we’d genuinely like to hear about it through our contact page.
Our Mission & Core Values
Our mission is to give students and professionals access to high-quality, ethically framed academic support — as a model, a mentor, and an editor, not a shortcut around the work of learning.
Commitment to Quality
Every order goes through a structured internal review before delivery: a check against your instructions, a check for citation accuracy, and a proofreading pass. We can’t promise a specific grade — no honest service can — but we can promise a document that reflects careful, deliberate work.
Academic Integrity, Stated Plainly
We provide model papers and coaching as learning aids, not as finished coursework for direct submission. We encourage clients to check their institution’s policy on using outside academic support, and we design our service terms around that principle rather than around it.
Client-Centred Support
You can message your assigned writer directly during an active order, track progress through your account dashboard, and reach our support desk at any hour. We built these channels because unanswered questions are the most common source of frustration in this industry — not because we think a badge says it for us.
Confidentiality by Practice
Your account and order information are handled by a limited internal team, transmitted over encrypted connections, and never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. We describe our actual data-handling practices in detail in the Security & Trust section below, rather than citing certifications we don’t hold.
Deadline Discipline
We build in internal buffer time before your stated deadline so a writer’s draft reaches quality review with room to spare. If something does slip, our refund and revision terms — published on our policy pages — set out exactly what you’re entitled to, rather than leaving it to a vague “guarantee.”
Ongoing Improvement
We regularly review our internal style guides, citation references, and writer feedback processes so they stay aligned with current APA, MLA, Chicago, and Harvard style updates, and with the kinds of assignments instructors are actually setting.
From a Nursing Tutoring Service to a Multi-Discipline Consultancy
What started as a small tutoring effort for nursing students has grown into broader academic support work. Here’s the honest version of how that happened, without the invented milestones.
Started in Delaware
Began as a small tutoring and model-writing service for nursing students, centred on clinical care plans, SOAP notes, and case studies — an area where clear worked examples make an outsized difference to how quickly students grasp the required documentation style.
Widening Beyond Healthcare
Client requests pushed us into new subject areas — Business, Law, Psychology, Education, and Engineering — and we began building out a wider bench of subject-matter writers to keep pace with the range of assignments coming in.
Adding Dissertation & Doctoral Support
We recognised that graduate students needed a different kind of help — methodology design, literature review structure, IRB-style research proposal support — and began building writer capacity specifically for that level of work.
Moving to a Fully Digital Platform
We moved operations fully online under Kendaall Enterprise Inc., introducing a client portal, encrypted order messaging, and live order tracking so clients in different time zones could work with us on a schedule that suited them.
Building Out Dedicated Quality Review
We introduced a dedicated internal quality-review step, separate from the assigned writer, so a second set of eyes checks structure, citation accuracy, and adherence to the brief before anything is delivered to a client.
A Full-Service Academic Consultancy
Today we support students across 80+ subject areas, from undergraduate essays to doctoral-level dissertation support, with a writer network organised around discipline expertise rather than generalist assignment-taking.
Disciplines We Cover
Our writer network spans a wide range of academic disciplines. Before you place an order, our services pages let you check specific subject coverage and see the kind of assignment support available in your field.
How We Screen Writers
We don’t publish a precise acceptance rate because we don’t track one in a way we’d stand behind publicly — but here is the actual three-stage process every writer goes through before they can accept a client order.
Credential Review
We ask applicants to provide transcripts or degree documentation for the subject area they want to write in, and we check consistency between the stated qualification and the applicant’s writing sample before moving them forward.
Documentation CheckedGraded Writing Sample
Candidates complete a timed writing sample and a citation-style test covering APA 7, MLA 9, Chicago, and Harvard formats. A senior editor grades the sample for structure, argumentation, and correct source integration.
Editor-GradedSupervised Trial Orders
New writers complete a set of trial assignments under a senior editor’s direct review before they’re allowed to take client orders independently. They receive written feedback on structure, tone, and argument quality at each step.
Senior-ReviewedHow We’re Organised by Discipline
Rather than publishing individual biographies we can’t independently verify for a public webpage, here’s a straightforward description of how our writer network is grouped, and the kind of background each group brings.
Healthcare & Nursing Team
Writers with clinical or health-sciences academic backgrounds, handling care plans, SOAP notes, DNP projects, and evidence-based practice assignments where domain-specific terminology and formatting conventions matter.
Business & Finance Team
Writers experienced in corporate strategy, financial modelling, and MBA-style case analysis, supporting coursework from introductory management modules through to capstone business plans.
Law & Criminal Justice Team
Writers with legal-studies academic backgrounds, supporting case brief analysis, statute interpretation, and policy evaluation assignments across common-law jurisdictions.
Psychology & Social Sciences Team
Writers versed in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research design, supporting psychology, sociology, and social work coursework and dissertations.
STEM & Engineering Team
Writers with technical academic backgrounds handling engineering reports, computer science coursework, and data-analysis-heavy assignments involving statistical software.
Education Team
Writers with backgrounds in curriculum design and education policy, supporting Ed.D.-track coursework, teacher-training research, and pedagogy assignments.
Simon Njeri — CEO & Lead Strategist
Simon leads Kendaall Enterprise Inc.’s day-to-day strategy, with an economics background informing his approach to how we structure services, pricing, and writer standards. He oversees the vetting process described above and is the point of escalation for client concerns that our support desk can’t resolve directly.
What We Actually Track — and What We Don’t Publish
We track internal quality metrics for our own operations, but we’ve chosen not to publish precise satisfaction percentages, plagiarism-rate claims, or publication-rate statistics on this page unless we can point to a verifiable, current source for them.
We deliberately removed a set of precise-sounding satisfaction and originality percentages that previously appeared on this page. We couldn’t point to an auditable source for them, and publishing exact figures without one isn’t something we’re willing to do — even when it would look better in a hero banner.
What Clients Tell Us
Illustrative feedback drawn from client communications, edited for length and to protect identifying details.
“My DNP project methodology chapter was a mess before I reached out. The writer I was matched with helped me rebuild the structure and walked me through why each section needed to flow the way it did — that was more useful to me than just getting a finished document back.”
“I used the editing service on a full draft rather than ordering a paper from scratch. Getting detailed margin comments on my argument structure, not just grammar fixes, was exactly what I needed heading into my defence.”
“I’d been burned by other services before. What I appreciated here was that the writer actually asked clarifying questions about the brief before starting, instead of guessing at what I wanted.”
Testimonials reflect individual client experiences and are not a guarantee of any particular outcome.
What Happens When Something Goes Wrong
Delays and mismatches between an order and a client’s expectations happen in any service business. Here is how we handle it when they happen with us, rather than a single dramatized anecdote.
- Proactive Notification: If a writer flags that a deadline is at risk, our support desk aims to notify the client as early as possible rather than waiting until the deadline has already passed.
- Published Refund & Revision Terms: Our policy pages set out, in specific terms, what a client is entitled to for a late or unsatisfactory order — including free revisions and, in defined circumstances, partial or full refunds.
- Escalation Path: If your assigned writer or the standard support channel can’t resolve an issue, you can request escalation to a senior editor or to our CEO’s office directly.
- Continuous Capacity Planning: We monitor writer workload against incoming order volume, particularly around exam periods, and adjust intake or bring in additional reviewers when demand is high.
Support for Turning Coursework Into Publication
Some clients want help adapting a completed dissertation chapter into a manuscript suitable for journal submission. We offer this as an editing and coaching service — helping with structure, abstract writing, and response-to-reviewer letters — rather than claiming any formal affiliation with specific journals or publishers. Submission and acceptance decisions always rest with the journal itself.
If you’re aiming for a specific journal, we recommend checking that publication’s own author guidelines directly — for example, the ICMJE recommendations for medical journals, which many editors expect submissions to follow.
“The editing support helped me understand what a journal editor is actually looking for in an abstract — that was the piece I kept getting wrong on my own.”
Our Post-Graduation Support Includes:
- Manuscript reformatting toward a target journal’s stated guidelines
- Abstract writing and keyword coaching
- Response-to-reviewer letter drafting support
- Cover letter and author biography editing
- Conference paper adaptation
Security, Privacy & Trust — What We Actually Do
We’d rather describe our real practices in plain language than claim formal certifications we don’t hold. Here’s exactly how we handle your data and your project.
Restricted Internal Access
Client order details and personal information are accessible only to the staff and writer directly involved in fulfilling that order, on a need-to-know basis.
Data Deletion on Request
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting our support desk. We process these requests directly rather than requiring a formal legal submission.
US-Registered Entity
We operate as an affiliate of Kendaall Enterprise Inc., registered in Delaware, USA. Our business registration and contact details are published on this site rather than kept behind a login.
Encrypted Data in Transit
Our platform uses standard SSL/TLS encryption for data moving between your browser and our servers, consistent with common web-security practice.
Confidentiality Agreements
Writers and staff who access client project details are bound by confidentiality terms as a condition of working with us.
Originality Checks on Request
We can run a similarity check on a completed order and share the report with you. We don’t publish a blanket zero-plagiarism claim across every order we’ve ever delivered, because we have no independent way to verify that figure.
A note on compliance language: earlier versions of this page referenced “ISO 27001 compliance” and “full GDPR compliance.” We have not obtained ISO 27001 certification, and while we apply data-protection practices consistent with GDPR principles for clients based in the EU/UK, we have not undergone a formal compliance audit and don’t want to imply certified status we don’t hold. If formal certification is important to your use case, please contact us directly to discuss current status before relying on this page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we hear most often from students considering working with us for the first time.
Yes — we operate as an affiliate of Kendaall Enterprise Inc., a company registered in Delaware, USA. We publish our contact details, service terms, and writer-vetting process openly on this site.
Your order is matched to a writer with relevant subject-matter background, who has passed our three-stage screening process (credential review, graded writing sample, supervised trial orders). A separate internal reviewer checks the finished draft before delivery.
We use SSL/TLS encryption on data in transit, restrict internal access to your order details, and require staff and writers to sign confidentiality terms. You can request deletion of your data at any time. See the Security & Trust section above for full detail, including a note on what we do and don’t formally certify.
Our writer network covers 80+ disciplines, from undergraduate essays and case studies to Master’s theses, doctoral dissertations, DNP projects, literature reviews, and research proposals. Check individual service pages for subject-specific detail.
Our published revision and refund policy sets out specific entitlements for late delivery or unmet instructions, including free revisions and, in defined cases, partial or full refunds. See our Refund Policy page for exact terms.
As a study aid — to see how a well-structured answer to your prompt handles argumentation, evidence, and citation. We recommend checking your institution’s academic integrity policy before deciding how to use any outside academic support, including ours.
Yes, in an editing and coaching capacity: manuscript reformatting toward a target journal’s own guidelines, abstract coaching, and response-to-reviewer letter support. We don’t claim formal affiliation with any specific journal or publisher — acceptance decisions are always the journal’s own.
