Your task this week is to complete an outline of your Signature Assignment. The outline should contain the following for two hypothetical studies, one that will use a qualitative method and one that will use a quantitative method.

For the quantitative study, be sure to address the following in your outline:

Include a brief explanation of the hypothetical study.

Identify the research question you plan to answer.

Identify the independent and dependent variables.

Explain the analysis you plan to use to assess the findings from the study. 

For the qualitative study, be sure to address the following in your outline:

Include a brief explanation of the hypothetical study.

Identify the research question you plan to answer.

Identify the type of qualitative technique you plan to use. 

Conclude with any questions you want your professor to answer. (Please do not send paragraphs asking “is this ok?”). These questions are optional, so if you do not have any questions, that is fine. Your grade will not reflect whether you had any clarifying questions. 

Length: 1-2 pages, not including title and reference pages

Your assignment should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing (where appropriate) and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
