The text and lecture present a selection of leadership theories, each with good research support, that nevertheless emphasize different aspects of leadership. These include leader-member exchange theory, a theory of leader decision styles (see Figure 14-3), the Ohio State leadership theory (see Table 14-3), the Life Cycle theory of leadership (see Figure 14-4) and Transformational Leadership theory. Maybe we need a theory to decide what theory to use!
