God is forgiving and loving. He made promises and is faithful to keep them. He created all that is wonderful and amazing. Our very first lecture stated, In corporate terms, God has ordained creation to be a reflection of His greatness and goodness (Alley, 2013). So how could we possibly view God or His character as anything other than good, when He created all of the beauty and majesty Of the world from the mountains to the oceans Early in the Bible, we are given the story of creation.
God created the heavens and the earth. As he contain uses creating things eventually He comes to the day that he creates an, the wonderful human being. The living, breathing image of God that walks the earth. The bible tells us, So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them male and female he created them. (Genesis 27, NIB) God gave man freewill, He allows us to make our own choices, even the choice to love Him or deny Him. And it is that choice that leads us to our eternity.
In a Christian worldview when we pass away and leave this earth our bodies die, the breath leaves our bodies and our hearts stop beating but our souls ascend to the heavens where we join Christ for our judgment day and spend all eternity enjoying the rewards of heaven. If we have chosen while here on earth to deny the Lord when our earthly bodies die, according to the Bible, we will spend all of eternity in hell. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good and God divided the eight from the darkness. (Genesis 11-4, K]V) Therefore, it is with great ease that can say that the nature of the universe since its conception is good. As well as being good, the nature of the universe is consistent and for the most part, it is unchanging. For the more concrete thinkers it can be studied and depended on. It comes with natural laws as well as physical laws that can be tested and proven time and time again.
Jesus was one of the greatest teachers that walked the earth. The Bible was one of the greatest textbooks ever written. If we use the Bible as a guide for our lives then the answer to the question for the Christian faith of how do you know what you know and what is true, is simple It is in the Bible. Not that the Bible will suffice the answer for everyone so for those that it does not there is always history coupled with science that confirm the stories from the Bible. Personally, I choose to simply have faith and believe in the word after all the word is God.
Also, God on several occasions tells us to test Him, Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing tattoo will not have room enough for it. (Malachite 310, NIB) So not only does the Bible teach us to have faith it also give us room to test it out just in case there is any doubt. Christianity does come with a set of governing laws if you will.
In the Old Testament there were many laws that the people lived under, but the old law was abolished when Jesus came and died for our sins. While Jesus was on earth he taught many seasons on how we should live, what was right, what was wrong. He gave us the Ten Commandments, the beatitudes and described to us the fruits of the spirit. Christian ideas of right and wrong originate in revealed truth, I. E. They stem from what God has taught us through Jesus and the prophets and Apostles. (Russian) Everyone born has a purpose Jesus knows each and every one of us before we ever start growing in our mothers wombs.
He has a plan for each of us. It is up to us and our freewill to pray and seek God and find Gods will for our life. God also gave us many simple daily directions, to be kind to one another, to feed the poor, and to spread the word of the gospel. No, as Christians, there is plenty of work for us to do here while we are on earth we very much have a purpose. Gods main desire is that we grow and mature that more and more each day we fall in love with him and nurture our relationship with him that we may gain knowledge, But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and forever Amen. (2 Peter 31 8, NIB) I believe that there are several Bible verses that would define my core commitments that are consistent with my worldview. The first one would be a verse inside the Lords Prayer, thy will be done (Matthew 61 0, KAVA). Also, was raised to love everyone and treat everyone with kindness, the entire section Of the Beatitudes always meant a lot and it is a moral code to live by. The number one core commitment that I try to live by is Matthew 71 , Judge not, that ye be not judged. I have found that if can live life by this verse alone life is good.
