Final Project Analyses

For your final project, your group will need to perform the appropriate, and complete, analyses to address the research interest/question.  Additionally, you will need to put together a visually appealing presentation that presents the findings for each of the analyses below, and present those finding orally in a manner that is understandable by the general public.  Additionally, you will need to complete a written report of your findings.

The final presentation and report should be organized in the order listed below.

Cite any outside sources within the presentation and the report using APA format.

  1. Triglycerides
    1. Convey the distribution of triglyceride risk for each location.
    1. Determine whether there is a difference in triglyceride levels across locations.
  2. Total Cholesterol
    1. % who occupy low, moderate, and high risk cholesterol levels for each location.
    1. Report average HDL and LDL levels for each location.  Determine whether the HDL levels differ across locations and whether the LDL levels differ across locations.
  3. Glucose Levels
    1. Using the overall glucose risk, report the % of respondents with low, moderate, and high risk glucose levels based on location.
      1. Identify the percentage of individuals (for each location and the entire school district) at risk for diabetes
  4. BMI
    1. % who occupy each weight status based on location.
    1. Determine whether there is a difference in BMI based on location.
    1. Determine whether the obesity rate within the school district and each location within the school district differs from the state (KY) obesity level.
